Track Adds Three Top Five Finishes At Drake

DES MOINES, Iowa – Eastern Illinois wrapped up competition at the 104th Drake Relays on Saturday with three top five finishes including a third place finish by the men's 110m hurdle shuttle relay.  EIU will now prepare for the Ohio Valley Conference Championships next Friday and Saturday at EIU's O'Brien Field.

The shuttle hurdle relay team consisted of Lamarr Pottinger, Daniel Trevor, Tyler Carter andDominique Hall.  After posting the second fastest qualifying time in the morning session, EIU placed third in the finals with a time of 57.37.

As an individual Trevor competed in the 400m hurdles on Saturday finishing 13th with a time of 52.98.

On the track Bryce Basting was fourth in the men's 800m race with a time of 1:50.55.  Britney Whitehead was fifth in the women's steeplechase with a time of 10:25.27.  The women's DMR squad placed 11th with a time of 11:50.03.  The relay team included Stephanie Peisker, Dhiaa Dean, Paige Biehler and Erika Ramos.

Late Friday night Jalisa Paramore placed 16th in the women's long jump with a mark of 18'8”.
