Viken Wins OVC Field Athlete Of The Week Award

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois junior Mick Viken was named the Ohio Valley Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week after winning the pole vault at the Drake Relays.  Viken cleared a season best height of 17'4.50” as he currently ranks 35th in the NCAA this season in the event.

EIU will return to action this weekend hosting the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track Championships at O'Brien Field.  Action begins on Friday at 12 p.m. with Saturday's scheduled events beginning at 10 a.m.
