CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois cross country returns to action on Friday night competing at the Bradley Classic in Peoria. This will be the Panthers final regular season meet as they will compete in the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 27 in Alabama.
There are four races beginning at 3 p.m. at Newman Golf Course. The men's 8K college/open race will start things off followed by the women's 6K college/open race at 3:40 p.m. The championship races are scheduled for 4:25 p.m. (men's 8K) and 5:05 p.m. (women's 6K).

In that raceBritney Whitehead placed 9th overall while posting the 9th best mark in school history at the 5K distance. Senior Olivia Klaus will also be a strong contender for the EIU women.
The men's team last competed in the competitive Gold Division of the Greater Louisville Classic. So far this season EIU has been paced by sophomore Bryce Basting and junior college transfer Pablo Ramirez.
The meet will feature competitors from 23 schools on the men's side and 27 squads in the two women's races, including over half of the teams from the Missouri Valley Conference. The field includes representatives from six women's teams appearing in the regional rankings and three men's squads.
