Track Tacks On Ten More Top Ten Finishes
Saturday, January 28 2012 - Indiana RelaysBLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Eastern Illinois men's and women's indoor track and field tacked on ten more top ten finishes on Saturday as the Panthers wrapped up action at the Indiana Relays.
Zye Boey continued his solid senior season as he won the 60m dash a day after placing first in the 200m invitational. Boey won the 60m at 6.75.
Bryce Hogan was second in the men's long jump invitational with a distance of 23'1.75”.
The EIU pole vault crew had another solid day with three top finishes in the men's and women's invitational events. Jade Riebold was seventh in the women's event at 12'5.50”. Scott Mammoser and Mick Viken tied for ninth on the men's side with a vault of 15'11”.
On the track freshman Stefan Gorol was fourth in the 400m run with a time of 49.28.
EIU had two runners post top ten finishes in the 800m invitational events. Sean Wiggan was eighth in the men's race crossing at 1:51.93. Megan Gingerich was tenth on the women's side at 2:14.91.
Gorol, Boey and Wiggan teamed with Cody Boarman in the men's 4x400 relay to place fourth with a time of 3:16.01
Liz Dole rounded out the top ten performances for EIU by placing seventh in the women's 5,000m. Dole posted a time of 18:32.72.
EIU returns to action next weekend at the Notre Dame Meyo Invite.
