Men 16th, Women 27th at NCAA Regional

Senior Pablo Ramirez posted a top 50 finish as he matched his career best time in the 10K distance at 31:23.1 which was 48th in the field. Fellow seniors Mike Hesslau andDanny Delaney were the second and third fastest EIU runners at the meet. Hesslau was 79th with a time of 32:05.9. Delaney was 95th with a time of 32:26.5.
EIU freshman Riley McInerney, who was the top EIU finisher at the OVC Championships, was 96th running his first Regional Meet. McInerney's time was 32:27.4. Matt Blackwas the final scored runner for EIU finishing 105th at 32:31.2. EIU's two other men's runners were Paxson Menard in 114th at 32:36.9 and Max Gassman in 176th at 34:26.5.
On the women's side Victoria Quarton finished her strong close to the season. After earning second team All-OVC honors as EIU's top finisher at the OVC Championships, the sophomore was EIU's top Regional finisher in 107th at 22:10.7. Freshmen Emily Brelsfoard and Ivy Handley were the second and third EIU runners to cross the line. Brelsfoard had a time of 22:32.0 good for 127th. Handley was 135th with a 6K time 22:35.5.
The remaining scored EIU women's runners were Kelsey Haridmon and Ruth Garippo. Hardimon was 146th with a time of 22:47.0. Garippo was 163rd with a time of 23:09.7.Julie James and Katelyn Duckett rounded out the EIU runners at the Regional Meet. James was 185th at 23:34.5. Duckett was 193rd at 23:50.1
