EIU Sends Two Runners To Indoor Championships

INDIANAPOLIS - Eastern Illinois had two men's track athletes officially earn bids to this year's NCAA Indoor Championships to be held March 13-14 at Texas A&M. Zye Boey and David Holm will both compete at this year's meet.

Boey was accepted to compete in the 200m dash after posting a season best time of 20.93. He was ranked 12th nationally in that event. Boey had been ranked 18th in the men's 60m dash but the NCAA Indoor Championships only accepted the top 14 to compete in that event this year.

Holm was accepted to compete in the 800m run after his time of 1:48.86 landed in 12th position on the national list. Holm set the EIU indoor fieldhouse record in the event but is second on the career list at EIU behind former national champion Jim Maton.

Both athletes will compete on Friday afternoon in prelim events.
