Boey Wins at Arkansas Last Chance

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Freshman Zye Boey placed first in the 60m dash as a small contingent of Eastern Illinois athletes competed on Friday at the Arkansas NCAA Last Chance meet.

Boey won the 60m dash with a time of 6.74 while placing third in the 200m dash with a time of 21.04.

David Holm and Clint Coffey both competed in the 800m run with Holm finishing in 4th and Coffey in 5th. Holm's time was 1:50.70 while Coffey's mark was 1:52.97.

Chandra Golden was the lone EIU female athlete competing placing 4th in the 60m hurdles.

Another group of EIU athletes will compete on Saturday at the Notre Dame NCAA Last Chance meet. Boey and Holm entered the week both ranked among the number of athletes that would make the NCAA Indoor Championship cut but neither was able to improve upon their top times for the season.
