Track Hosts Big Blue Classic This Weekend

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois will host its annual Big Blue Classic and Neil Moore Multi's on Thursday morning at O'Brien Field.  The multi's will run on Thursday and Friday with the Big Blue Classic meet kicking off on Friday afternoon with several events scheduled under the lights on Friday night.

The field will include competitors from 13 schools including Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana State, Chicago State, Detroit, Bradley, Western Michigan, Notre Dame, Wisconsin Milwaukee, Lincoln University, Lincoln College, Marian University and Rockford College.

The Panthers are coming off a strong opening weekend performance in the EIU ICE Dual in which they picked up 12 first place finishes in the abbreviated meet.  Three EIU athletes were named OVC Athletes of the Week with Sean Wiggan, Mick Viken and Maura Cummins all winning awards.
