Track Opens Outdoor Season On Saturday

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois will open the outdoor portion of its track and field season this Saturday when the Panthers host Indiana State in the ICE Dual at O'Brien Field.  Field events will begin at 11 a.m. with the discus.  Running events will begin at Noon on a rolling schedule with two different formats set based on the weather at the meet.  EIU is coming off a sweep of the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.  Following this weekend's action, EIU will host the Neil Moore Multi's and Big Blue Classic next Thursday through Saturday at O'Brien Field.
