Boey, Riebold Qualify For National Championships
Tuesday, March 6 2012 - Alex Wilson InvitationalCHARLESTON, Ill. - One athlete will be looking for a repeat All-American performance while another will be making history as Eastern Illinois placed two athletes in this weekend's NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships set for Nampa, Idaho.
Senior Zye Boey will be making his third appearance in the NCAA Indoor National Championships competing in the 200m. Boey placed seventh in the NCAA meet last year earning All-America honors. He is ranked 15th in the event this season with a time of 21.07.
Sophomore Jade Riebold will be the first EIU female competitor in the NCAA Indoor National Championships competing in the pole vault. Riebold is ranked 13th in the NCAA and made the qualifying mark of 13'11" over the weekend at the North Central NCAA Last Chance.
