EIU Year In Review - No. 3 Boey doubles up on All-American honors

Zye Boey had already proved he was the fastest man in Eastern Illinois school history holding school records in nearly all the indoor and outdoor short sprints categories. During the 2011 season he showed that he was back to national caliber form as he earned All-American honors in both indoor and outdoor track. Boey became the first EIU track athlete since Braidy Miller (1992) to earn All-American honors in the same season in both indoor and outdoor track.
During the indoor season Boey earned first team All-American honors by finishing 7th in the 200m dash. During the outdoor championships he placed 21st at the national meet earning honorable mention honros in the 100m.
