OVC DMR Team sets Freshman School Record

The Eastern Illinois University Distance Medley Team of Nick Oakley, Riley Baker, Franky Romano and Dustin Hatfield set the EIU Freshman DMR School Record during the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.  Oakley started things off kicking down two 4:05 milers with a 3:03.8 1200m split. Then Riley Baker hammered a 400m in 49.7 keeping EIU in first. On the 800m leg Romano flat out busted the field with his 1:54.7 800m.  Finishing things off with the toughest and longest leg was Dustin Hatfield in the mile to earn the team a Freshman School Record of 10:06.89 and OVC Championship Medal.
