BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois sprinter Zye Boey has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this year following his performance at the Notre Dame Meyo Invite. Boey placed first in the 200m dash setting the school record with a time of 20.89. His winning mark was the fastest 200m time in the nation last week. Boey also placed second in the 60m dash ending his streak of four straight wins in that event. 


The junior currently ranks third in the NCAA in the 200m dash and 24th in the NCAA in the 60m dash. Boey has already qualified for the NCAA Indoor National Championships in the 200m. This week he will compete in the Tyson Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas.
