Boey Wins Second Straight OVC Weekly Award

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois junior Zye Boey continued his hot streak to open the 2011 indoor season as he won his second straight Ohio Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week Award. Boey won the 60m and 200m dash at the Wisconsin Badger Track Classic over the weekend. He won the 60m with a time of 6.77 while posting a winning time of 21.45 in the 200m. His 200m time is currently the third fastest mark in the NCAA this season. 


EIU returns to action this Saturday hosting the EIU Mega Meet at Lantz Fieldhouse. The meet begins at 9 a.m. At Noon EIU will hold a special ceremony to retire a jersey in honor of former EIU standout and Olympic triple jumper John Craft.
