Men's 4x100 relay team sets school record
 
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Eastern Illinois had a solid showing on Saturday competing at the Illini Twilight Meet.  The Panthers set a school record in the men's 4x100m relay while posting three first place finishes.

The men's 4x100 relay team set the school record with a time of 39.79 finishing second to host Illinois.  The Panther women's 4x100 relay team won with a time of 45.95 which was the second fastest time in school history.  The men's 4x400 relay team posted a top three finish with a time of 3:15.97.

Ephraim Dorsey won the men's 800m run with a time of 1:50.78 which ranks 8th on the Panthers top ten list.  Kristen Paris was second in the women's 800m run with a time of 2:10.24.

Dhiaa Dean won the women's 400m dash with a time of 55.31 which ranks 5th on the Panthers top ten list.   In men's sprints Jamal Robinson and Christian Ilunga-Matthiesen placed second and third in the 100m dash.  Robinson had a time of 10.62.  Ilunga-Matthiesen's time was 10.66.

EIU had three top three finishes in the hurdles.  Katie Ryan was second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.87 which ranks 3rd on the EIU career list.  In the 400m hurdles Amina Jackson was third in the women's event with a time of 1:01.70.  Danny Trevor was third in the men's event with a time of 52.86.

In field events Haleigh Knapp was third in the women's high jump with a mark of 5'4.50".  Aviance King was third in the men's high jump with a mark of 6'6.25".
Kendall Williams turned in two second place finishes in the sand jumps.  Williams was second in the long jump with a mark of 22'9.25".  His second place triple jump mark was 45'2.50".  Teammate Aaron Fullerton was third in the triple jump clearing 45'10".

Maria Baldwin placed second in the women's 5,000m race with a time of 17:16.90 which ranks 4th on the Panthers career top ten.

The EIU women's team placed third out of 11 Division I schools.  The EIU men placed second out of ten schools.
