Boey Places 13th In 200m Semifinals

EUGENE, Ore. – Eastern Illinois sprinter Zye Boey placed 13th in the 200m semifinals on Saturday evening as his dream of making the 2012 US Olympic Team bound for the London Games came to an end.
Boey placed fifth in his heat of the 200m with a time of 20.85. Boey was 13th overall. Boey competed in two events at the US Olympic Trials held over the past two weeks at the University of Oregon. Boey ran in the 100m prelims last week.
Boey has now completed his EIU career. He was a second team All-American this season in the 100m and 200m sprints during the outdoor season.
Former EIU track athlete David Holm had his Olympic chase come to an end on Saturday as well. Holm placed seventh in the 800m at the Canadian Olympic Trials. Holm ran a time of 1:51.66.
