EASTERN: Jessica is a junior distance runner in both cross-country and track... redshirted during 2006 cross-country and 2007 indoor and outdoor track seasons.  OVC cross-country “Freshman of the Year” in 2005 after finishing 16th at the conference championships, as the meet’s top freshman finisher... season best time of 19:05 came at the championships, helping the Panthers to a 2nd place team finish... versatile runner, placed in 3 events for EIU at the 2006 indoor OVC championships... led off the 2nd place distance medley relay team, placed 7th in the mile (5:13.47) and 8th in the 3000m (10:31.71)... at the 2006 outdoor OVC championships, placed 8th in the 5000m (18:20.62).

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped for coach Tim McDonald at Downers Grove North High School... State qualifier in cross-country after placing 3rd at sectionals... ran personal best in the 3200m of 11:24 in placing 10th at the state track and field championships... Illinois Prep Top Times Indoor State Champion in the 3200m run (11:29).Personal: Majoring in elementary education… daughter of Lane and Joanne Blondell.
