Brad Butler

FTTF Racing Team: Brad joined the First to the Finish Racing Team in September, 2014.  In his first appearance for FTTF Brad won the Mattoon Knights of Columbus Fall Festival 5k Race the Cross 10,000 meter road race.

 

EASTERN ILLINOIS: Brad earned 1st team All-OVC with his 5th place finish at the 2006 conference championships in a personal best 25:34 for 8k... placed 59th at the NCAA Midwest Regional... EIU’s top finisher in 4 races. In 2005, earned 2nd team All-OVC, finishing 12th (25:47/8k), helping EIU to the team championship... in track and field, won the OVC championship in the 10000m run in 2006 (31:53.76), after placing 2nd indoors in the 5000m and 6th in the 3000m... placed 3rd in the prestigious Kansas Relays in the 10000m run in a personal best of 31:34.52... runner-up in the 5000m run indoors at the 2006 OVC Championships and also placed 6th in the 3000m run... as a freshman in 2005, placed 8th in the 5000m run at the indoor OVC championships... 2007 first team All-OVC in indoor track winning the 5,000 meter run... 2007 second team All-OVC in outdoor track with second place finish in 10,000 meter run.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed for his father, Jeff Butler, at Monticello HS... he was two-time All-State in HS cross country finishing 19th as a junior and 24th as a senior... earned All-Okaw Valley Conference honors four times each in track and cross country, and twice was team captain ...placed 10th in the 3200 at 2004 state meet... cross country was conference champs in 2002 and 2003, track was four-time conference champion and sectional title winner in 2003 and 2004 with PRs of 4:36 in the 1600 and 9:44 in the 3200... member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Brad is an accounting major... son of Jeff and Mary Butler.
