Cross Country Travels To Bradley Meet
Thursday, September 11 2014 - Bradley IntercollegiatePanthers return to action Friday night in Peoria at 5:30 p.m.
CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois cross country returns to action this Friday night as the Panthers travel to the Bradley Intercollegiate in Peoria. The Panthers opened the season last week hosting the EIU Walt Crawford Open.
EIU women's cross country won the Walt Crawford Open for the first time since 2005 as the Panthers had their top five runners finish within 17 seconds of each other. Freshman Maria Baldwin led the charge placing second in the meet. She was followed by EIU's top two runners from last season as Victoria Quarton was third and Emily Brelsfoard was fourth.
On the men's side Paxson Menard was EIU's top finisher in 8th place while fellow sophomore Riley McInenery placed 11th. EIU was second as a team in the meet.
The race at Bradley is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start.
