Klaus Named OVC Runner Of The Week

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois runner Olivia Klaus was named the Ohio Valley Conference female runner of the week for cross country following her performance at the EIU Panther Open on Friday evening. Klaus was the Panthers top finisher at the event.

A transfer from Miami of Ohio, Klaus covered the 5K distance in a time of 18:38.52 as she was the top finisher among competitors from OVC schools. Her time finished seventh overall in the meet. Klaus won the Millikin 5K with a View in the Panthers opening race on Sept. 1 in Decatur.

EIU returns to action this Friday evening at the Illinois Intercollegiate hosted by Illinois State.
