Strack runs 4:01.42!

 

Dan Strackeljahn (EIU 2007) ran 4:01.42 for the mile at a meet in St. Louis Saturday night. The race was won by 2008 Olympian Leo Manzano and included several other 4 minute milers; Dan placed 4th overall. His next race is this coming Saturday in Indianapolis in the 1500m where he will try to run under 3:45.00 to qualify for the US Nationals to be held in late June in Eugene. His 1500m split in St. Louis was approximately 3:44.0 so it is reasonable that he can run this fast in Indy. He ran 3:42.69 at the meet last  year also. Congrats Dan!
