Riebold, Viken Win OVC Weekly Track Awards

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Eastern Illinois pole vaulters Jade Riebold and Mick Viken both won their respective events last week at the WKU Hilltopper Relays. On Tuesday they were selected as the OVC Male and Female Field Athletes of the Week.
Viken won his second straight OVC Field Athlete Award after clearing a season best 17'2.75” at the WKU Hilltopper Relays. Viken is currently ranked 32nd in the nation in the pole vault.
Riebold earned her second OVC Field Athlete Award this season as she surpassed her own school record winning the pole vault at the WKU Hilltopper Relays. Riebold cleared 14'3.25” which ranks the junior fourth in the NCAA this season.
EIU will continue its outdoor track and field season this Saturday at the ISU Redbird Spring Classic in Normal.
