Cummins Ties For 5th At US Junior Nationals

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Eastern Illinois freshman Maura Cummins tied for fifth in the high jump at the US Junior National Championships contested in Bloomington, Ind., over the weekend.

Cummins cleared 5'7" as she tied for fifth in the event with three other competitors.  Taylor Burke of Florida won the event with a height of 5'10.75".

The meet will serve as a qualifier for this year's IAAF World Junior Championships. Top performers will be part of the American team that will compete in Barcelona, Spain from July 10th to July 15th.
