Boey 16th In 200m At Track National Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa - Senior Zye Boey wrapped up his stellar Eastern Illinois track career on Thursday night as he placed 16th in the 200m at the NCAA Track National Championships hosted by Drake University.

Boey ran a time of 20.83 in the 200m as he finished fourth in his heat and 16th in the event.  Boey placed 14th in the 100m dash on Wednesday as the sprinter from Decatur, Ill., made three trips to the NCAA National Championships during his career as a Panther. 

At the American Milers Club meet in Indianapolis, junior Graham Morris, broke the EIU school record with a time of 3:41.88 in the 1500m.  Morris placed 5th in the 1500m A race.  His converted time is the equivalent of breaking the 4-minute mile.

EIU athletes will continue action at the NCAA Championships on Friday evening with sophomore Mick Viken competing in the men's pole vault.
