Men's Cross Country Cracks Midwest Region Poll

NEW ORLEANS – Based on a strong performance at last weekend’s Evansville Invite, the Eastern Illinois men’s cross country team has cracked the USTFCCCA Midwest Region poll landing at No. 15 in this week’s rankings.

EIU placed fifth at the Evansville Invite as the Panthers finished ahead of five Ohio Valley Conference schools in the meet. EIU will be off this weekend before participating in the OVC Championships on Nov. 1 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The Midwest Region rankings were led by Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Tulsa, Iowa State, Southern Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois State, Illinois, Nebraska, Southeast Missouri, Oral Roberts, DePaul and Drake.
