Track Spilts Squads For Weekend Action

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois will split its track and field squads this weekend with athletes competing at both the Kansas Relays and the Indiana State Pacesetter. Action at Kansas begins on Thursday morning and continues through Saturday. The ISU Pacesetter is a one day event in Terre Haute on Saturday.
The Panthers are coming off of a bye week as the EIU men dropped to 12th in the USTFCCCA Midwest Region rankings. Entering the week the Panthers had several athletes ranked among the nation's elite in Zye Boey (100m and 200m) and Mick Viken (pole vault).
EIU will return to action next weekend with a limited number of athletes heading to the Drake Relays. The remaining athletes will compete at the Stan Lyons Invite in Indianapolis co-hosted by Butler and IUPUI.
