Cross Country Finalizes 2008 Schedule

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois cross country Geoff Masanet has finalized the 2008 men’s and women’s schedules which include the Ohio Valley Conference championships to be contested at Southeast Missouri State University.

The Panthers will open the slate with back-to-back home meets. The Walt Crawford/EIU Alumni Memorial Meet will be on Sept. 6 followed by the EIU Panther Invite on Friday, Sept. 12.

The EIU men will continue in action on Sept. 19 at the Illinois Intercollegiate hosted by Illinois State and the Oklahoma State Jamboree on Oct. 4. Oklahoma State will serve as this year’s host for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships on Nov. 15. The Panther men will also compete at the Evansville Invite on Oct. 18 and the OVC Championships on Nov. 1.

The EIU women will head to Chicago on Sept. 27 for the Loyola Invite followed by an appearance at the Evansville Invite on Oct. 18. The OVC Championships will take place Nov. 1 with the NCAA Regional set for Nov. 15.
