Larson, Sipple at Austin Marathon

EIU Alum's Jake Larson and John Sipple ran this morning at the Austin (TX) 1/2 Marathon and Marathon. Jake ran his marathon debut, placing 29th in 2:57:47 - he was 1:24 at the 1/2 marathon. Jake's buddy Jon Laidlaw, a former baseball player, ran his debut also in 3:09:59. In the 1/2 marathon, John ran 1:16:39 to place 9th overall. his buddy John O'Mally, the Sandburg HS coach and Brad LaRocque's HS coach, ran the full marathon in 2:49:55 to place 16th. All in all a nice day of racing for these guys! Go Blue!
