Riebold, Viken Earn First Team All-American

NEW ORLEANS - Eastern Illinois pole vaulters Jade Riebold and Mick Viken both earned first team All-American honors by the USTFCCCA on Monday following their performances at the NCAA Indoor Track National Championships.
Riebold was the national runner-up placing second based on number of attempts. Riebold cleared 14'7.25" which was 7.25 inches over her previous career best. She scored eight points for the Panthers as they finished tied for 25th in the team standings. Riebold earned second team All-American honors last season at the Indoor Championships.
Viken placed eighth at the national meet as he cleared 17'8.50". It was two inches shy of his career best set the previous week set at the Arkansas NCAA Last Chance. Viken scored one point for EIU which placed the team 54th.
