Men's Indoor Track Holds Steady In Rankings

NEW ORLEANS – Eastern Illinois men’s indoor track will head into this weekend’s Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships with a No. 33 national ranking as compiled by the USTFCCCA. EIU fell two spots from a season high of 31st position last week.

Two EIU athletes are projected to score points at the NCAA Indoor National Championships for the Panthers which garner the team 29.84 projected points. Redshirt freshman Zye Boey is ranked nationally in two events with a No. 7 mark in the 200m dash and No. 8 mark in the 60m dash. Senior David Holm is ranked 6th in the nation in the 800m run.

EIU hosts the OVC indoor championships this Friday and Saturday at Lantz Indoor Fieldhouse.
